Post 28-hour Drive Brain Fog

Chris and I had a nice Christmas in NY with his family. Tons of food, good food. Bread. Carrot Cake. Meatballs. Turkey Dinner. Mac and Cheese. Beer. We ended up with a cancelled flight out of LaGuardia and decided to rent a car and drive back to CO instead of waiting until next week for a flight.

We did lots of talking about how we are both only eating vegetables and water for the next month. I guess this is how New Year's resolutions came about in the first place? Comparing over-extended bellies really kills time. I spend $120 at the grocery store on vegetables and other non-sweet, non-butter smothered goodness.

I am hoping a good night's sleep will put me back to myself tomorrow. Chris heads back to San Diego at 7 am, a blizzard is in the forecast, and orientation for Acu school is tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping to get started on some nightstands I have been waiting to re-finish and unpack the mess that is now eating the living room alive.
