Before and After

A before and after? Sure! This is an old frame I found under my bed during today's big clean-up. Some black spray paint, a little sanding and an antiquing glaze. A new (well old, but you know what I mean) print is all it needed.

I think Colorado weather has a psych disorder

3 weeks ago we were being buried in snow. This morning was nice and sunny and mild. I was outside painting things in the yard, hanging clothes out to dry, all the windows open wide. Around 2 o'clock the sky looked like this and the tornado sirens started. My next door neighbor was out on her porch with her camera, too.


Now if my lawnmower would arrive so I can cut this freshly watered grass!

Before and After

This chest was a steal, $1.49 at the amazing thrift store near my new (well, as of 6 months ago) house. A few weeks later I found the matching coffee table for $4.99. Pictures to come. I skipped the sanding on this to save the scars of its previous life, and me some work. I primed and spray painted the exterior Vintage White after removing all the hardware. I sprayed the hardware matte black as well as some new knobs. Reassemble, and

Ta Da!

My first furniture re-finish!
